Jersey Spirits Distilling Company Grand Opening: Friday, September 18th – Monday September 21st
If you feel like getting out of Hoboken this weekend, Jersey Spirits Distilling Co., the newest local craft distillery to open in New Jersey, is hosting a celebratory grand opening weekend. There will be product tastings, tours and specialty cocktails available for guests to sample their hand-crafted spirits and learn about small batch craft distilling. Special discounts and giveaways will be offered to guests throughout the weekend. Bottles of Jersey Spirits first release, Main Street Vodka will be available for purchase. Stop in and check them out anytime on Friday from 4-9:00PM, Saturday from 1-9:00PM, or Sunday from 1-5:00PM. The distillery is located at 1275 Bloomfield Ave. Building 7, Unit 40B, in Fairfield, NJ 07004.
A Different View Art Exhibit: Friday, September 18th-Sunday October 11th
An exhibition of artwork by Don Sichler and Roslyn Rose, will be open to the public from September 18 to October 11, 2014 at hobart gallery. Mr. Sichler zooms in on the minutiae of everyday life and Ms. Rose steps back to see the broader picture. A reception to meet the exhibitors will be held onSaturday, September 19th, 6-8pm. On Sunday, September 20 at 3:30pm, the artists will talk about their artwork and welcome questions from visitors. We look forward to sharing this amazing exhibit with you. Wicked Wolf 5 Year Anniversary Party: Friday, September 18th at 6:00PM
Head to the Wicked Wolf on Friday, September 18th for their 5th birthday celebration. The lovely ladies from Hoboken’s Up & Out Hair Salon will be here from 6-8pm giving free professional braids for ladies to enjoy. As a thank you for making them the tavern they are today, they will be serving complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks from 8-9:00pm followed by live music and a never-to-forget dance party. Country Concert Series with Old Southern Moonshine Revival: Friday, September 18th at 7:00pm
Join the Hoboken Social Sandbox at Maxwells on Friday September 18, 2015 for an awesome concert with Old Southern Moonshine Revival. Maxwells is bringing a bit of Nashville to Hoboken with their Country Concert Series. Hoboken City Race Challenge: Saturday, September 19th from 9:00AM- 12:00PM
City Challenge Race, the fastest growing urban obstacle course in the country, returns to Hoboken this Saturday. Hoboken’s waterfront will be transformed into an urban obstacle course with over 20 urban obstacles and challenges over a 3 mile course; featuring real police and taxi cars for our challengers to jump over, cargo net, rope climb, walls, sand bags, and so much more. Sign up for the race and get a chance to run the course filled with over 20 obstacles and challenges designed to push you to your limits. All About Downtown JC Street Fair: Saturday, September 19th from 11:00AM-8:00PM
The 5th Annual Downtown Jersey City Street fair will be held this Saturday on Newark Avenue between Grove Street and Jersey Avenue. This event features hundreds of vendors, food trucks, shops, art and music making it fun for the entire family. The festival organizers, Historic Downtown Special Improvement District, is a public-private partnership through which property owners and business owners have a direct impact on Historic Downtown Jersey City neighborhoods and their development. Kale & Karma Event with Devotion Yoga and “Skinny Chef”: Sunday, September 20th at 2:00PM
Local yoga studio Devotion Yoga is teaming up with Hoboken’s own Jennifer Iserloh, blogger and chef behind SkinnyChef.com, to offer a donation based yoga and food tasting event this Sunday. The event will feature a 90-minute yoga class taught by a group of Devotion Yoga teachers, followed by a presentation and food tasting of delicious and healthy foods prepared by Jennifer. Attendees are asked to donate whatever they can in order to attend the event with 100% of the proceeds going to support True Mentors of Hoboken, an organization dedicated to helping children in our community. The event is sponsored by National Kale Day, an organization co-founded by Jennifer Iserloh with the mission of spreading healthy eating across America.
